Bringing Vegas vibes to Birmingham Custard Factory | Digbeth

Are you ready for the most insane colourful vegas vibe wedding? This wedding had it all streamers, disco balls, flowers, neon lightning bolt, cool stationery and the coolest couple. From what started as just a party where the couple were going to elope in vegas and have a celebration party in the UK. Suddenly turned into a full wedding day as they had a little surprise with a baby on the way halfway through planning. So we brought the Las Vegas wedding vibes to Birmingham. I don’t think you’re ready for this insane wedding where the couple gave me full creative freedom, and the result was next level.

The Morning

Steph and Adam had a relaxed morning at their family homes getting ready, whilst we finished setting up and putting the final touches to the space. It was not a small task taking a blank space into a colourful explosion. But we did it, Steph’s brief was “I want it to look like a unicorn has thrown up” in the nicest way. The entrance made a statement to guests with colourful welcome boards and cool mirrors for guests to get a sense of the day.

Adam and his grooms party arrived earlier and had some whiskeys prior to the ceremony. Whilst Steph arrived in style in her Grandad’s vintage car with her dad, and had a surprise reveal to her close friends and bridal party. She looked incredible and the reaction was incredible. They then all had a shot of tequila rose before it was time to get walking down the aisle.

Ceremony

The ceremony was a colourful explosion, we had 3 arches Steph’s brother and dad made. With streamers and disco balls covering the ceiling. Plus flowers adorning the aisle and an epic flower cloud for the couple to stand under and say their vows. Louise Kickass celebrant held the most incredible ceremony, and the couples exchanged beautiful vows. Watching on were 170 guests and their beautiful daughter. They exited the ceremony playing blink 182 first date and got showered in confetti. Before heading off for couples portraits.

Couple Portraits and Group photos

After the ceremony, the couple were whisked off for couple portraits around Digbeth, before heading back for some fun group photos with their wedding party. I loved Steph’s bridesmaids has silver sequin dressed and bold statement shoes. It looked incredible.

The Details

In contrast the wedding meal had a more intimate vibe with twinkly fairy lights hanging over the space. An epic lightning bolt exclusive to amw events behind the sweetheart top table. Insane stationery with place cards with tassels, mustard napkins, twisted candles  and cool menus. Just elevated the space to create an incredible meal. I love creating different layers and textures, and seeing it all come together on a wedding day is the best feeling. Seeing Steph and Adam’s reaction after over a year of planning and site visit was just incredible.

Whilst the drinks reception took place, we were busy moving the chairs and, getting the DJ to set up so during the meal there was music playing throughout. No dull moments here.  Once the couple came back from their photos it was time for the meal and speeches. The speeches were heartfelt, it had everyone laughing and crying. And before long it was time for the party.

The Party

For the evening we had a band and DJ playing, which meant a quick set up. Where the photobooth was ready for guests to get some fun snaps before the first dance and father daughter dance. Never to miss an opportunity Mark and the Costa sisters snuck the couple to the nearby arcade to get some cool evening shots and under the digbeth fairy lights, it ended on such an incredible note.

AMELIA! I still don’t have the words to thank you. Like seriously, I don’t think I’ll ever have the words!! You made my dreams a reality. This wedding would not have happened without your support! You’re the best human and so amazing at your job!
