Colourful streamer Festive Wedding at Hyde House in Cotswolds
Is there any better place for a festive wedding in the Cotswolds. It’s the perfect place, cosy warm and stunning backdrop, you can’t beat it. Sophie and Jake really thought about the details of their wedding, everything had either a personal touch or meaning. They lucked out with the weather, and even got a golden hour in Winter. And not forgetting adding some epic streamers which just added such an epic touch to the day. If you’re looking for a colourful, joyful day that has the feel good factor keep reading.
The Morning
A calm and relaxing morning, full of festive cheer. Sophie and her sister did their own make up, had a relaxing morning, no stress just the two of them. Whilst myself and the team were busy hanging streamers, setting up all the details, festive wreaths made it start to have that festive feeling. Then Jake and the groomsmen arrived, bringing the food table and then started to get ready themselves.We had stockings and little chocolate boxes to get guests in the festive mood.
The Details
With Sophie having a graphic design background she naturally took on creating all the stationery and it looked phenomenal. Lots of fun signage that made the day so personal. She looked stunning in her dress, and despite the rain as we were heading to the ceremony, she radiated joy.
The ceremony was simple and beautiful, with festive wreaths on the door, and greenery down the aisle. Compared to the wedding meal which was an explosion of colour, with those epic streamers, and still cosy and beautiful with the tables of simple festive runners, and candles. With more gorgeous stationery designed by Sophie.
Wedding meal
After the ceremony we headed into the most insane confetti and headed off for group photos. Whilst the guests enjoyed some festive drinks, the couple got to enjoy some epic golden hour photos.
Hyde house ceiling was transformed into an epic streamer install of red, greens, pink and golds, which filled the room with colour. It made it feel so cosy, with the long tables and garland runners, with candles. By focusing on an epic install, we kept the tables simple, but with lovely notes from the couple to each guest, which just made the day that extra special.
The Party
Whilst speeches and the meal finished, the guests enjoyed some personal games the couple had created, which went down a treat. We had notes to write the couple for their advent calendar they can open one up each day, to celebrate their wedding anniversary. And the second was to draw yourselves like you did at school for the classic tea towel. Whilst the team and I turned the room around for the party. The couple enjoyed a group first dance to I’m a believer and danced the night away.
